Entrepreneur Residence Permit

It is a residential permit offer for people who want to open their business in Portugal. The D2 or the Immigrant Entrepreneur Visa is for entrepreneurs, business people, and independent service providers from outside of the EU and Schengen Area who wish to start (or transfer) a business or startup or have a business plan they want to operate within Portugal.

 

If your application is approved, you will get residency in Portugal. It will entitle you to live and work in Portugal. It also allows you to travel for holiday purposes (but not to relocate) within the Schengen area for work.

 

There is no limitation on the type of business you decide to launch in Portugal. It can be a small coffee shop, import and export business, or even a branch of your existing company in Portugal.

This option is open to people who:

  • They want to start a business in Portugal

You don’t have to learn the language to get your visa. However, it is logical that starting a business in a country that speaks another language requires you to learn how to speak so that you can interact with the people. However, it doesn’t affect your visa application. But, in 5 years, applying for citizenship might require that you know how to speak the language.

Yes, you must live for at least 183 days(approximately 6 months) per year in the country to qualify for citizenship in 5 years.
Approval for a residency permit is usually within 3-5 months.

Nomad, Passive, Retiree Residency Visa:

It also is known as the Portugal D7 visa. One requirement is that applicants must show that they earn at least €8460 per year as proof of funds to move to Portugal. This visa type is for people not intending to work in Portugal. However, your spouse/dependant can work since they are not the principal applicant. The main applicant must be over 18 years old, have a legal income, and have no criminal record. A spouse and children below 18 years with parents can apply for this visa.

This visa provides a straightforward approach for those working as freelancers or running businesses in another country outside Portugal.

The total duration is within three months. Once the applicant gets there, the visa is approved. Our team will be there all the way to assist with acquiring residential permits in Portugal.
